Graduate diploma in ultrasound
The Graduate Certificate puts in the student to the preceding conceptions of ultrasound and then empowers a stress in a specific branch of clinical ultrasound. Students of the Postgraduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound have the opportunity to grow their academic abilities to equip them to attempt a lifetime of professional growth in the area. Applicants having degrees in related subjects, (such as Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine or other Health Sciences) will be measured on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences for admission.
On completion of the Postgraduate Diploma coursework of sixty-four points including a clinical logbook, graduates are desirable to become a recognized Medical Sonographer (AMS) by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR). You may also extend study with the Master of Medical Ultrasound and get credit for the 64 points completed in the Postgraduate Diploma. The Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound comprises of eight mandatory units. The program is recognized with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
