Introduction
Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH) was founded on 9th August 1983. It is a sovereign organization under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi. It experiments in the fields of recognition, treatment, educational approaches, remedial teaching methods; jobs for the hearing handicapped and technology development have been carried out. The institute and its territorial centers supply comprehensive symptomatic, therapeutic, educational and vocational services to the hearing and speech impaired. It also supplies clinical and rehabilitation services for the needy.
