The Department of Geology is spurred by its engagement in investigations and researchin Applied Geology. Over the yesteryear decades, the Department has endeavored to maintain its multidisciplinary approach towards Earth Sciences by applying the concepts of Geology to solve scientific problems faced by the society. The Department is accepted by UGC-SAP, UGC-DRS, DST-FIST, and UGC-CPESS. The Department maintains ties with well-famous organizations such as the Geological Survey of India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, National Geophysical Research Institute, Central Ground Water Board, ISRO, UNESCO, BSIP, PRL, CESS, the Directorate of Geology and Mining, and the universities and other research institutions.
