Introduction
Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT) was founded in the year 1986 as the first Engineering College in Private Field in the undivided State of Madhya Pradesh. The Institute is supervised by a Board of Trustees headed by the Managing Trustee.
The Institute is providing undergraduate courses in Engineering and also post graduate courses. It has the intake capacity of 180 students; it has now developed to the atmosphere of an institution of esteem for Technical education and Management studies in the part with 6 disciplines of Engineering at undergraduate level and six post graduate courses including MBA and MCA, and an annual intake capability of 620. The institute is sanctioned by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the state government.
