Calcutta University Botany Department

Founded in 1914, the PG Department of Botany, University of Calcutta, is accepted for Excellency in teaching and research in major fields of Plant Sciences in general. The Department has got funds from UGC (under COSIST Programme in two phases- 1984, 1989) and DST (FIST, 2004) in addition to funds got by faculty members individually or in groups from several funding agencies in form of major research projects.
