Introduction
University Of Calcutta – University College of Business Studies Department of Commerce in Kolkata, West Bengal has invited applications for admission into two years full time Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance programme, offered for the ensuing session 2010 -12.Dr Fredrick John, the education secretary to the then British Government in India, first tendered a proposal to the British Government in London for the establishment of a university in Calcutta, similar to London University, to create an educated class that would help them rule India; at that time the plan failed to obtain the necessary approval.
The University Act of 1904 authorized the University to make necessity organizations for the instruction of students, and though, most of the teaching extended to be imparted in the affiliated colleges, teaching in some post graduate courses started to be prepared under University management.
Date of Exam
Admission is done on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in CAT / MAT exam, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Interview (I) conducted by the institute.
