Diploma in Otolaryngology
The Diploma in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery is an intercollegiate examination run jointly with the other Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Great Britain and Ireland. Diploma in Otolaryngology is also aimed to provide a test for those who want to practice within another medical specialty, but who have an interest in the aspects of where that specialty interacts with the field of otolaryngology. The aim of the Diploma of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery is to test the breadth and knowledge, the clinical and communications skills and the professional attributes considered appropriate through the College for a doctor intending to undertake practice within an Otolaryngology department in a non -consultant career grade or trainee position.
