Diploma in Work Based Animal Care Level 2 course is run in the workplace and is therefore planned for those in regular employment in the animal care industry. Topics contain continuing the health and well being of animals, reception duties, record keeping, health and safety, maintaining animal accommodation and moving, exercising and restraining animals. Learners must be employed for at least 25 hours per week and paid a min. weekly wage of £95.00 and apprenticeships are presently available to appliers aged 16-24.
