The Diploma of Liberal Arts, containing the Certificate IV in Liberal Arts, is a humanities and social science pointed course that develops students for encourage studies in the field or to enroll the workforce in a form of areas. In particular, in issuing forms of work that calculates on qualities such as initiative, cooperation and analytic thinking abilities. The course is desirable for Exit Year 12 students wishing to study a humanities-based course. The course also provides for mature-age persons who want to study an arts, humanities or social science course at university, and who do not have a Year 12 or equivalent.
This course proposes to formulate general knowledge and abilities for effective participation at university in the arts and social science fields. It also aims to formulate competencies for the workplace where advanced communications skills and a broad general knowledge are an asset. The core program is rooted in a variety of humanities and social science fields, and stresses skills growth in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking for university level studies. Students who exit the course after successful completion of the first year are awarded the qualification of Certificate IV in Liberal Arts.
