I want to get admission in Vellore Institute of Technology so can you tell me the eligibility criteria to apply for entrance exam for admission?

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is the all India level entrance examination conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology VIT for admission to B.Tech programme.

VITEEE Eligibility-

Candidates should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the SC/ST & North Eastern State.

'NIOS' candidates are eligible to apply

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1995

Counselling Schedule second/third week of May, 2017

VITEEE Exam Pattern

Total 125 questions will appear in the examination of VITEEE.

Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subjects.

The questions asked in the examination are of objective type having four alternative options.

Total time of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be provided for the VITEEE computer based test.

Number of Sessions: I session – 9.00 am – 11.30 am /II session – 12.30 pm – 3 .00 pm /III session – 4.00 pm – 6 .30 pm

Marking Scheme: Every question will carry 1 mark.

Negative Marking: No mark will be deducted for the wrong answers as there will be no negative marking.
