The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is conducted by Bar Council of India to examine an advocate's capability to practice the profession of law in India.

The notification bringing the All India Bar Examination into force was passed by the Legal Education Committee and the members of the Bar Council of India.

AIBE will be conducted in 40 cities all across India.

Candidates will have 11 languages to choose for attempting the examination.

AIBE Eligibility Criteria

Candidate has to qualify their LLB Degree (either 3 years or 5 Years).

Candidate has to be registered as an advocate professional with any State Bar Council.

Candidates have to submit the suitable proof of the enrollment.

There is no limit to appear for the Examination.

Candidate must be India citizen.

Exam Pattern

The question paper will be composed of 100 multiple choice questions spread across various subjects.

There is no negative marking.

The questions asked in the examination will be divided into ‘knowledge-based’ and ‘reasoning based’.

The time duration of the examination is maximum 3 hours 30 minutes.

AIBE Syllabus-

The syllabus of the AIBE (X) 2017 will be prescribed by the Bar Council of India for the 3 year and 5 year LLB programmes at law schools in India.
