Amrita School Engineering (ASE), Coimbatore was established on October 27, 1994. It has distinction of being Amritas first centre for higher learning.

Today the school offers B. Tech and M. Tech programmes in various disciplines.

In addition, it offers programs leading to the MCA degree. Ph.D. is offered in Engineering and Sciences.

B. Tech. Eligibility

A pass in 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects.

Applicants whose date of birth, as per school records, falls on or after 1st July, 1997.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc. / Diploma in Engineering / Technology) - Currently in the final year or already completed.

OR

M. Sc. / MCA or equivalent  Masters degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent.  

OR

Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B. Arch.) recognised by MHRD / UPSC / AICTE (e.g., AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India). 

Applicants should have scored a minimum of 60% in the qualifying degree. 

GATE qualified applicants can choose the paper appropriate to the discipline of their qualifying degree if Amrita Graduate Entrance Test (AGET) exam is available in such a discipline. This is to be eligible for a specialization where the qualifying examination is not relevant.
