The Assam Public Service Commission is released notification for eligible candidates which comes under Assam Public Service Commission who have qualified to appear in the Combined Competitive (Main) examination, as per advertisement No.19/2016.

The APSC is conducted Preliminary Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination for APSC Combined Competitive Exam Main exam.

Generally the recruitment method contains preliminary/mains examination followed by an personal interview.

The Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services, advertisement is generally published through print media inviting applications in prescribed form.

The written examination consists of two stages:

The Preliminary
The Main Examination

Date of Main Exam Admit Card 18 Jan 2018
Date of Main Exam 06, 09, 12, 18, 21, 23 and 27 Feb 2018

Candidates will not be allowed the following combinations of subjects to choose from their optional subjects in the main examination.

Anthropology & Sociology
Mathematics & Statistics
Philosophy & Psychology
Agriculture & Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
Of the Engineering subjects not more than one subject

Viva-Voce / Interview Test
The candidates are interviewed by a Board which takes into account their academic career.

The marks scored in the interview are added to the marks scored in the written examination (Main) and the rankings of the candidates are determined on the basis of the total marks obtained.

Candidates who are declared qualified in the Main Examination shall be summoned for a viva-voce test.
The viva-voce test will carry 200 marks with no qualifying marks.
