Can you tell me in detail about the features of BOI Bank of India or – Banking Through Mobile (BTM)? Also tell me how to Activate the Facility?

Mobile Banking facility in Bank of India or BOI is availed by all Individual Retail Banking customers. The application is compatible to the following type of smart phones:

Android 2.2, 2.3, 3.0, 4.0
Blackberry 4.6, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0
iPhone (ios) 4.0, 5.0

One can download the application from major app stores like Play Store for Android phones, Blackberry App World for Blackberry phones and App Store for iPhones.

The application can be searched by the name of BOI – BTM in these app stores. No other modes of downloading of application are currently made available.

Following are the prerequisites for Mobile Banking application (BOI – BTM):-
1. GPRS enabled handset.
2. Mobile Number Registered with Bank.
3. Retail Individual Indian Customer.

To Activate the Facility follow the below given steps:

After successful downloading and installation of Mobile Banking application, one needs to send an SMS from Registered Mobile Number by typing the keyword ‘starotp’ to 9810558585.

Upon receiving the OTP, enter it in the application and then set MPIN. MPIN is a four digit number.

Activation of BTM is one time activity and further login can happen through User Name and MPIN. The MPIN can be changed subsequently whenever desired.
