Re: Biosustain DTU
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (CFB) is a DTU research and development focus built up in 2011 keeping pace with alternate offices at the DTU. An extensive variety of noteworthy items, from little atoms to vast proteins, can be made utilizing cells as creation hosts or cell plants. These cell industrial facilities will affect compound and biopharmaceutical creation remarkably over the coming decades. Work process Fundamental Research: Determine the range of science that can be delivered organically Translational Research: Shorten the strain plan and improvement handle The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability is centering its exercises on the advancement and development of the idea of microbial cell industrial facilities through fundamental research in microbial cell physiology fueled by a coordination of best in class high-throughput advances with genome-scale models. Core Paradigm: There are three key technological drivers that have changed microbial cell factory design over the past decade: 1. Genome sequencing 2. Gene manipulation systems 3. genome-scale models These drivers in addition to an assortment of molecular biology and automation tools form the basis for an iterative process consisting of four principal steps: 1. genetic manipulation 2. phenotyping 3. omics data generation 4. mapping on to genome-scale models for analysis and decision making -> genetic mainpulation.... etc. Contact The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability Kemitorvet Building 220 2800 Kgs.Lyngby Forside - DTU Biosustain Phone: +45 4525 8000 Email: biosustain@biosustain.dtu.dk |
