The age eligibility and other eligibility conditions to apply for the post of Junior Engineer (Erstwhile TTA) in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) are as follows:

Nationality/Citizenship:
Only Indian Nationals can apply for BSNL JE Recruitment exam

Age:- One must not be below 18 years and not exceed 30 years as on last date of receipt of online application.

Upper age relaxation:-

SC / ST - 5 years

OBC - 3 years

SC/ST PWD - 15 years

OBC PWD - 13 years

OC- PWD - 10 years

Upton 5 years - for BSNL employees


Educational Qualifications:
One must hold a degree in the following discipline for getting eligible for exam:
• Telecommunication Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Radio Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Instrumentation/ Instrument Engineering
• Information Technology Engineering
OR
One should either have B. Tech degree or a 3 years Engineering Diploma in the above mentioned subjects.
OR
One with the degree of M.Sc. (Electronics) are also eligible for the examination.


Exam Pattern:-

The pattern of the question paper is multiple choice objective types with negative marking. One undergo a common multiple choice exam of three hours duration consisting of the following three parts:-

Part I - General Ability Test - 20 questions - 20 marks

Part II - Basic Engineering - 90 questions - 90 marks

Part III - Specialization - 90 questions - 90 marks

Total - 200 questions - 200 marks

Time: - 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

The minimum qualifying marks for exam of the above 3 parts of the question paper is 30% for candidates belonging of OC category and 20% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

The minimum qualifying marks in aggregate will be 40% for candidates belonging to OC category and 33% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.

One obtains less than minimum qualifying marks in any of the three parts and in aggregate is not considered for inclusion in the merit list.
