Bachelor of Dental Surgery or BDS course is an undergraduate course in the field of dentistry. This course helps an aspirant to become a dentist.

The duration of BDS degree ranges from 3 years to 5 years

For BDS course, the minimum eligibility criteria is mentioned below.

Passing senior secondary examination with an aggregate score of 50% from a recognized board or equivalent examination
It is required to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects in 12th class

BDS Fee:

For undergraduate dental courses in private, unaided minority and non-minority dental colleges, the fee has been fixed at Rs.10,000 per annum for A category, Rs.4,50,000 for B category and not exceeding five times maximum chargeable fee to B category students.

Capitation fee details:

The Health Medical and Family Welfare Department in an order issued on Friday listed several amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983 (A.P. Act No.5 of 1983) and the Regulation of Admission into Under Graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses) Rules, 2007.
