CCSU Athletics Department is the Academic Center for Student Athletes’ assignment is to foster an environment for students where they can learn to be responsible and creative citizens, ready to enter the workforce upon graduation.
Athletic grant and scholarships are determined by the Director of Athletics in consultation with the head coaches and in accordance with policies and events of Central Connecticut State University. You are given the tools they need to reach their full potential and become thoughtful, responsible, and reliable leaders. A vital athletic program adds a great deal to the University's spirit and quality. Your annual gift will level the playing field and enhance the experience of the nearly 400 deserving student-athletes who proudly wear Central Blue & White across the full spectrum of 18 NCAA Div. Athletic training
The athletic training program 1) provides quality health care to the student athletes of the university, and 2) to prepare the student athletic trainer to assume the role of an entry-level athletic trainer upon graduation. The athletic training staff possesses knowledge in injury prevention; injury recognition, evaluation, and appraisal; immediate care; and the treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletic injuries. The staff maintains current in knowledge and skills through participation in regular in-services and attendance at educational conferences annually.

Visiting Intercollegiate teams scheduled to participate at CCSU.
