UPSC has released schedule for civil services preliminary examination 2017, which is going to held in the month of June 2017.

UPSC Civil Services 2016 Preliminary Exam marking Scheme:

Total Mark of UPSC 2016 preliminary is 400

One mark for each correct response

Total number of questions is 400 each question is of 1 mark

Negative marking: One -third mark (-1/3) to be deducted for each incorrect response

More than one answer indicated in a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked
The minimum qualifying marks for Paper II is 33 percent

Process to calculate UPSC Prelims marks:

The following procedure will be adopted to calculate preliminary marks

Step 1: 1 marks x number of correct responses = Total score of UPSC Civil Services 2016 preliminary is 400

Step 2: One third (1/3) mark to be deducted for each incorrect response
