CMC Vellore PG Entrance Examination Pattern


Stage 1

The Stage 1 exam is also be divided into two papers, namely, General Paper and Special Paper

General Paper will consist of multiple choice questions drawn from all subjects taught in the undergraduate medical course

Special paper will consist of the multiple choice questions in the specialist subject for which the candidate has applied for admission

Stage 2

A list of the candidate who are selected for the stage 2 examination will include the assessment of skills and knowledge
The stage 2 exam will also consist of the medical checkup of the candidates


Syllabus of the Examination

Pre-clinical - Anatomy, Bio-chemistry, Physiology

Para-clinical - Community Medicine; Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, etc.

Clinical - Community Medicine, Medicine and allied subjects (Psychiatry, Dermatology), Obstetrics and gynaecology, Paediatrics, etc.

Surgery and allied subjects - Anaesthesiology, E.N.T., Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, etc.
