I am providing the Syllabus for the Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination
It will Consist of 3 Parts
1 English
2 General Knowledge
3 Arithmetic

1.English :
It Consist Of understanding of English and workmanlike use of words.

2.General Knowledge :
It Consist of knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience.
It also include questions on History of India and Geography of a nature

3.Arithmetic :
Relation between its roots and coefficients
Multiples and factors.
Tests of divisibility by 2,3,4,5,9 and 11.
Use of logarithmic tables.
Prime and composite numbers.
Basic Operations,
Applications to simple and compound interest,
Theory of polynomials,
Fundamental operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,
H.C.F. and L.C.M. Euclidean algorithm,
Unitary method-time and distance,
Laws of logarithms,
time and work, percentages,
H.C.F., L.C.M.
Number System-Natural numbers, Integers, Rational and Real numbers.
Logarithms to base 10,
profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation.
Remainder Theorem,
Simple factors,
Solutions of quadratic equations,
Elementary Number Theory-Division algorithm.
Factorisation Theorem.

Simultaneous linear inequations in two variables and their solutions.
Simultaneous linear equations in two unknowns-analytical and graphical solutions.

Practical problems leading to two simultaneous linear equations or inequations in two variables or quadratic equations in one variable & their solutions.

Set language and set notation,
Laws of indices.
Rational expressions and conditional identities

Trigonometry :
Sine x, cosine x, Tangent x when 0° ≤ x ≤ 90° Values of sin x, cos x and tan x, for x = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°

Use of trigonometric tables.
Simple trigonometric identities.
Simple cases of heights and distances.

Geometry :
Lines and angles, Plane and plane figures,
Theorems on:
Sides and angles of a triangle,
Parallel lines,
Loci.
Circles and its properties including tangents and normals,
Congruency of triangles,
Properties of angles, sides and diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangle and square,
Concurrence of medians and altitudes,
Similar triangles,
Properties of angles at a point
