The Concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was Introduced in the State Bank of India as early as 1973, The Initial Emphasis was on Assisting Groups Belonging to the weaker and downtrodden Sections of Society by Providing Avenues for Improvement of their Economic Condition.
