What is the minimum eligibility required for TNPSC District Educational Officer post??

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts TNPSC District Educational Officer Exam for the recruitment of District Educational Officer in Tamil Nadu School Educational Service.

Educational Qualification:
You must have completed Master degree with minimum 50 % marks in any one of the subjects: Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and History & Geography and B.T. OR Must have B.Ed. Degree of any university in the State of Tamil Nadu or a degree of equivalent standard.

Age Limitation:
Age should be in between 18 years to 30 years.
Relaxation in age for the reserved category will be applied as per the government norms.

Selection procedure:

Selection will be done on the basis of:
Preliminary Examination
Main Written Examination
Oral Test in the shape of an Interview

Written Test will be a single paper in the following subjects for P.G. Degree Standard --

Tamil Language and Literature
History
Zoology
English Language and Literature
Physics
Chemistry

Interview and Record - 40 marks

Minimum qualifying marks for Selection
SCs, SC(A)s,STs, MBCs/ DCs, BCs(Other than BCMs), BCMs - 102 marks
Others - 136 marks
