Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore invites application form for admission in various M.Tech programs in the Institute.

Candidates must have valid GATE scores to be considered for admissions.

IISc Bangalore M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent (4 years full time)

Bachelor’s degree holders in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE

Master’s degree holders (2 years) in Science disciplines including Physics with Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Computer Application/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences

Candidates who have passed B Sc followed by a professional Diploma, should have studied their B.Sc in the 10+2+3 system and obtained at least a SECOND CLASS.

Candidates who have studied diploma and got exemption of 1 year in the Engineering/Technology

Final Year students can also apply

Aerospace Engineering -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in AE, CE, CH, EC, EE, ME).

Civil Engineering -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in CE).

Mechanical Engineering -

BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in ME).

Materials Engineering -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in CH, ME, MT, XE).

Computer Science & Engineering -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in CS).

Communication & Networks -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in EC).

Electrical Engineering -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in EE).

Microelectro-nic Systems -

BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in EE, EC, CS, IN).

Signal Processing -

BE / B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in EE, EC).

Systems Science & Automation -

BE/ B Tech or equivalent degree (with a GATE Paper in CH, CS, EE, EC, IN, ME).

Candidates should have done a formal course in programming in C and C++.

Selection Procedure:

On the basis of GATE scores

Candidates may be required to appear for a written test and an interview to be selected for admissions
