Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Releases Notification for Joint CSIR-UGC NET

The test is conducted two times in a year, application form will available in January-February for June attempt and in July-August for December attempt.

Age Limit :

For JRF (NET
Candidate’s age should not be more than 28 years

For LS (NET) :
There is No Age Limit for it.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates who have qualified four-years BS course OR possess a BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/Integrated BS-MS/MBBS/B.Sc (Hons.)/M.Sc OR equivalent/B.Sc (Hons.) OR equivalent or candidates enrolled in the Integrated Ms-PhD course scoring minimum 55% for General and OBC-NCl candidates (50% for SC/ST/PWD/visually handicapped) are eligible to apply for the examination

Application Fees :

General category- Rs. 1000/-
OBC/NCL category- Rs. 500/-
SC/ST/PH/VH category- 250/-

Examination Pattern :

There will be total 5 subjects in the CSIR UGC NET Mathematical Sciences, Atmospheric, Earth, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Chemical Sciences.

The will be one paper of total 200 MCQ type questions.

The examination will be held in morning session from 9 am to 12 pm and evening session from 9 am to 12 pm.

The candidates will also have to pay the penalty for wrong answer.
