Default Re: eLitmus Attempts

eLitmus' primary business is to help companies recruit entry level engineers.

It owns the intellectual property for the eLitmus pH Test (pH Test = hiring potential test) which is analytical reasoning and algorithmic thinking tests. It has helped companies in reducing wrong hires by 90+% in addition to discovering stellar future performers.

Attempts

There is no restriction on taking up the pH test. You can take the pH test any number of times without any restriction and during short listing, your best score will be considered.

However in eLitmus' experience, significant number of companies prefer to shortlist candidates who have taken no more than 3 attempts. Hence no more than 3 attempts are recommended.

Eligibility
There is no eligibility criterion to take the pH test.

But companies which use the eLitmus pH Test scores set their own eligibility. Typically companies which hire through eLitmus look one from BE/B. Tech, MCA, ME/M Tech or M. Sc (CS/IT/Electronics). Additionally they may ask for minimum marks or grades. The exact criterion is published with each job ad.

pH Test

pH test is an aptitude test. It is a pen & paper test and is no longer administered online.

Syllabus:
It is not designed to measure proficiency in specific areas or subjects. Hence it does not have a specific syllabus.

It measures a broad range of skills and abilities that gained throughout education. Examples of skills and abilities measured include - simplification, relational thinking, extrapolation / interpolation, perseverance, eye for detail repetitive fatigue etc.

Duration/ Content/ Medium:
It is designed to be completed in two hours, and often has three sections - quantitative, verbal and analytical - but there could be changes in this structure from time to time.
Each section has 20 questions making it a total of 60 questions. The maximum marks are 600.

All required formulae are provided in the question paper.
