Default Full Form Of GRE

What is full form of GRE Exam? My elder brother has filled its application form. I want to get full details about this exam, so please tell me what is full form of GRE? Can you give me official website of organization that organize this exam every year. Also give me this year prospectus.

GRE stand for:
Graduate Record Examinations


The full form of GRE is Graduate Record Examinations. It is a standardised test conducted by Educational Testing Services.

The ETS GRE scores are accepted by most of the top graduate level schools for masters degree programs.

Eligibility:
Document required proving your identity.
In India, candidates will need a valid passport.
They have to get their original passport (not photocopies) which clearly shows full name, photograph and signature.

No other documentation (like birth certificate, international driving license etc) can be used as an alternate identity proof. They are very strict about this.

Fee:
The registration fee to take the GRE is $195.

Paper pattern:

Test Duration and Pattern:

Section No. of questions Time
Analytical Writing (One section with two separately timed tasks)
Task 1 - Analyse an Issue 30 minutes
Task 2 - Analyse an Argument task 30 minutes
Verbal Reasoning (Two sections) 20 questions per section 30 minutes per section
Quantitative Reasoning (Two sections) 20 questions per section 35 minutes per section
Unscored Varies Varies
Research Varies Varies

Scores:

Scores are reported in the following scales:
Sections Score
Verbal Reasoning 130-170, in 1 point increments
Quantitative Reasoning 130-170, in 1 point increments
Analytical Writing 0-6, in half point increments
