Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), are now commonly known as hypromellose. Now a day’s HPMC capsules are used as an alternative to gelatin because of their vegetable source. It is considered safe for the normal Consumption in humans because it is made from the synthetic modification of the naturally occurring polymer cellulose.
