Don’t worry I will tell you Indian Institute of Science, placement policy rules for UG and Master program so that you can check it easily.

Policy Rules

CS and related branches will henceforth be designated as CS. A company that does not exclusively hire students from the CS branch will be called non-CS company.

All recruiters will be provided a band of dates to choose from for their visit to IISc for placement tests and interviews. Written tests for most companies will be held in October. Only in some special cases will tests and interviews be allowed on the same date.

More than one company may be invited on the same date.

Students can register for a Dream-job option.

Around ten companies designated as Slot-A companies primarily based on salary package (CTC > 25 Lakhs pa). The remaining companies will be grouped into Slots B and C.

Interviews for Slot-A companies will be held on October 21-22. Tests and other interactions with these companies will be completed before October 21. Results will be announced on October 22 and all conflicts will be cleared within a day.

Each company will get up to six hours on these days, in one of the slots 7am – 2pm, 2pm – 9 pm and 10 pm – 5 pm. Allotment of slots will be based on students shortlisted and preference of the companies. Students who receive a confirmed offer from a Slot-A company will be out of the placement process.

The interview process for Slot B will start on November 7 and continue till November 18, 2016; Companies will get up to six hours per day during November 7 – 10, in one of the slots 7am – 2pm, 2pm – 9 pm and 10 pm – 5 pm. From November 11 – 18, some companies will be allowed to conduct tests from 7-10 am. Interviews will start from 10 am on-wards.

Interviews in Slot-D will be held after December 11. Companies that could not be accommodated in Slots A, B, or C will be invited at this time. Results will be announced on each day. Tests may be held on the same day.

Wait listing Policy: Students receiving multiple offers will be allowed to choose one of the company from which they have received an offer. All such students will then be out of the placement process.

It is the responsibility of the student to check announcements/notices/updated information/shortlisted names etc. in the notice boards and placement website. Students are expected to be in time as per the announcements.
