Iisc + Rain Water Harvesting

Hello sir, my father wants to know the locations for Rain Water Harvesting of IISC? Will you please provide me locations for IISC Rain Water Harvesting?

The Government of Karnataka realized the importance of harvesting rainwater and as a first step through BWSSB RWH was made mandatory for most of the properties in Bangalore effective from November 2009.

Council in collaboration with BWSSB embarked up on the task of establishing RWH Helpdesk at Council.

Benefits of Rainwater Harvesting:
Environment friendly and easy approach for water requirements
RWH is an ideal solution for water requirements in areas having inadequate water resources
Increases ground water level
Improves ground water quality
Mitigates the effects of drought
Reduces the runoff, which other wise flood storm water drains
Reduces flooding of roads and low-lying areas
Reduces soil erosion
Cost effective and easy to maintain
Reduces water and electricity bills

There were 25 Awareness Camps held at different Assembly constituencies of Bangalore city with the support of the local MLAs and leaders.
