The Department of Chemistry of IIT Gandhinagar was established in 2009.

The Department offers following Educational Courses:

M.SC
Ph.D

Eligibility for Ph.D:
Must be CSIR-NET or GATE or JEST qualified

B.Tech. students from other engineering disciplines with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) or a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (5.5 for SC/ST) out of 10.

B.Tech applicants must have a valid GATE score in Chemistry or their own discipline.
