Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is a public institution established by the Government of India, located in Guwahati, in the state of Assam in India.

Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. is being conducted by IIT Delhi.

IIT JAM 2017 is the common written entrance test for all IITs.

Admission to M.Sc in IITs, IISc and related dual degree courses is through JAM

IIT Guwahati also accepts the JAM score for providing admissions.

Required Eligibility Criteria for appearing in IIT Guwahati

A candidate who wants to appear in IIT Guwahati , need to have 55 % of marks or 6.0 CPI out of 10 without any rounding off in honours/pass subjects.

Aspiring candidates must have 60 percent of aggregate marks or 6.5 CPI out of 10.

Aspiring candidates must have 50 percent of total marks or the 5.5 CPI out of 10 without rounding off in major/honours and pass in subjects encompassing languages and the subsidiaries.

Aspiring candidates must have 55 percent of total marks or the 6.0 CPI out of 10 without any round up.
