The Undergraduate Research Initiative (UGRI) Program at IIT Jodhpur provides an effective platform to the students to engage in research with faculty members of the Institute.

Undergraduate Research Initiative (UGRI) Program

Duration: Minimum 60 days (Starts May 16, 2016)

Eligibility-

You must have completed your 5th Semester of BE/B.Tech/Dual Degree or 1st Year of M.Sc/MA program.

Engineering students must have the minimum academic score 70% or a 7.5 CPI/CGPA on a 10 point scale, and Science students 65% or 7.0 CPI/CGPA and Science students 65% or 7.0 CPI/CGPA. They must not have failed any course.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on merit of the research proposal.

Stipend:

A stipend of Rs. 8000 per month. You will have to pay the expenses of their boarding and lodging as per the institute rules.

The research proposal must provide the following information:

(1) Abstract (maximum 250 words),
(2) Objectives and expected outcomes,
(3) Significant impact to the society, and
(4) Outlines of procedures and methodologies.

The proposal should not exceed four A4 pages or 1200 words, including illustrations.
