JEXPO is a state level entrance exam which is also known as WB Polytechnic. It is a Joint Entrance Exam for Polytechnics administered by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

It is conducted for providing admission into the first year of Diploma courses in Engineering, Technology & Architecture. Through it, one can get admission in the various government/ private aided polytechnic institutions of the state.

OMR & Online Application form available 29th January 2018
Last date for online & OMR form submission 5th March 2018
Admit card downloading starts 2nd April 2018
Exam date 29th April 2018
Announcement of result 18th May 2018
Counselling begin June 2018

Eligibility Criteria
One must have cleared 10th or equivalent examfrom any recognized board with English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics among others as subjects.
One should have secured at least 35% aggregate (no rounding up) in the 10th class.
One appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply.
There is no maximum age limit to appear in the exam.

JEXPO Syllabus

Mathematics Syllabus:
The mathematics section will contain different topics like Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Menstruation, Trigonometry and many others.

Physics Syllabus:
System of measurements & Measuring devices, Change of state, Matter & Energy, Rest and Motion, Displacement, Speed, velocity and Acceleration, Light, Sound, Newtons Laws of Motion, Work, Power, Energy, Structure of Atom, Properties of gases-pressure and temperature and many others.

Chemistry Syllabus:
Identification of matter: Physical and Chemical properties, Separation of Mixtures, Solution, Chemical reaction and chemical equation, Physical & chemical change, Oxygen, Oxides, acids, base and salts, Water, Nitrogen, Ammonia, Carbon, Fuel (Carbonaceous), Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Electronic theory of Oxidation & reduction and many others.
