Don’t worry I will tell you steps access network using wifi hotspot of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

Here are the steps
1. Place the mouse pointer on the Network connection icon at the right end of the task bar.

2. Click right button of the mouse and from the appeared menu select Open network and Dialup connection.

3. The screen will show the icons Local Area Connection / Wireless Network Connection.

4. Select Wireless Network Connection, click right button of the mouse and select properties, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) from the appeared menu and select properties button. Select Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically and click OK button

5. Again from the Network Connection menu (Step Number 3) select the Wireless Network Connection icon and click right button of the mouse, the screen will show the option View Available Wireless Networks.

6. Click the Refresh Network List link from the Network Tasks appeared at the left side of the screen.

7. The screen will show the available networks, select he JNU_SIT wireless network and click the connect button from the bottom of the screen. It will show as connected.

8. Click Internet Explorer, after opening click tools from the menu bar and select Internet Options, select connections from the appeared menu, select LAN settings and select Proxy Server and enter the IP address of the proxy server i.e. 192.168.254.1 and port number is 8080, click OK button and close down internet explorer.

9. Now your system is ready to access internet through Wi-Fi connectivity. Click Internet Explorer, it will ask for username and password. Enter the username and password and it will open the sites. (The username and password will be supplied by the CIS on written request).
