Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern Preliminary Examination
The exam will have multiple choice questions divided in 3 sections
The total number of questions is 100 and the duration of exam is 1 hour
Questions will be bilingual i.e. in both English and Hindi except for the English Language section
Candidates around 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for mains exam on the basis SBI Clerk result of the prelims exam

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern Mains Examination
The mains exam is also objective and will be conducted online
There will be a total of 190 questions in four sections - General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
The total marks for the mains exam are 200
Each section in the mains exam has separate timings and candidates will have to complete their paper in the given amount of time
All questions in the mains exam will be bilingual except for the General English sections
One has to secure qualifying marks in all the sections as decided by the bank to qualify the mains exam of SBI Clerk
The passing marks will be decided by the bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level
There is negative marking for incorrect answers in the mains exam and 1/4th of the marks allotted to a question for incorrect answer
