LSAT India is a standardized test of reading and reasoning skills will be conducted on May 20, 2018. The paper-pencil based law school admission test for India will have as many as 100 questions and are to be attempted within two hours and twenty minutes (140 minutes).


Examination Pattern

The LSAT India is a paper-and-pencil test. All questions are in a multiple-choice format, some with four answer choices and others with five. Answers are collected on a scannable answer sheet.

Analytical Reasoning - Approx. 24 Qs - 35 minutes
1st Logical Reasoning - Approx. 24 Qs - 35 minutes
2nd Logical Reasoning - Approx. 24 Qs - 35 minutes

Total: 4 sections - 92-100 questions - 2 hours and 20 minutes

Syllabus

- Analytical Reasoning
This section measures the ability to understand a relationship structure and draw logical conclusions based on it. The candidate is supposed to deduce from a set of statements and rules or principles that describe relationships among persons, things, or events. Questions on Analytical Reasoning reflects the kind of complex analyses that a law student performs while solving a legal problem.


- Logical Reasoning
These questions assesses the candidates ability to analyze, critically evaluate, and complete arguments as they occur in ordinary language. The questions in this section requires the test taker to read and comprehend a short passage, then answer a question about it. The questions are designed tests the thinking and legal reasoning skills.



Reading Comprehension
Reading comprehension questions test a candidates reading ability and insightful understanding. The section contains as many as four sets of reading questions, comprising a selection of reading material, followed by four to nine questions related to the paragraph. The questions can only be answered if a candidate has gone through the given paragraph decisively.
