Mahatma Gandhi University is an Indian state-related public university established on Gandhi Jayanti, 2 October 1983 in the Kottayam district of Kerala, India.

It is approved by UGC and accredited (B+) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. It has around 100 affiliated colleges spread over five districts in central Kerala.
