Certificate Program in Human Resource Management

Human Resource professionals lead the charge in recruiting and retaining an organizations most valuable asset: its people.

They are strategic partners navigating the challenges of an increasingly global workforce and changing employment laws, all while utilizing data analytics to support business goals.

Duration of Study

At two courses per semester, you can finish in five semesters (one to two years).

Prerequisites

Essentials of Human Resources BUS ADM X450.1; bachelor's degree highly recommended.

Curriculum Requirements

The curriculum consists of 8 required core courses (14 units) and 4 semester units of electives (usually 2 courses) for a total of 18 semester units (273 hours of instruction).

Candidates must pay a non refundable certificate registration fee.

All courses must be taken for a letter grade. To receive the certificate, you must maintain an overall minimum 2.5 grade point average, with a grade of C or better in each course.

A Certificate of Distinction will be awarded to those who complete the certificate with a GPA of 4.0 or higher (effective to those who register beginning July 1, 2017).

All coursework must be completed within five years of registering for the certificate. By taking two courses per term, you can complete the certificate within five semesters (one to two years).

Estimated Cost

Each course is priced individually, and you pay the course fee at the time of enrollment.

The certificate has an estimated total cost of $8,990 (not including course materials or registration fee). Course fees are subject to change.
