The Department of Physics offers a two year M. Sc. (Physics) Degree Programme

Its Optional Courses in Several Areas Such as :
Materials Science,
Condensed Matter Physics,
Biophysics,
Nuclear Techniques,
Accelerator Physics,
Laser Physics,
Non-linear Phenomena
Physics of Nanostructures

The admissions of Indian candidates are through a national level entrance examination.

The advertisement is put up in print media as well as on the webpage around March/April.

The entrance examination is held in June.

The first semester starts around the end of July.

Non-Indian candidates are requested to contact International Students Centre for queries regarding admissions.

Eligibility Criteria for Pune University M.Sc in Physics Entrance Exam

Candidates Must have Completed their B. Sc Degree from any of the Recognized Institution are Eligible to Attend the Entrance Test.

The qualification must be in any of the following subjects or combination of the same.

Physics
Electronics
Chemistry
Mathematics

Application Fees :

Fee for applying the entrance test is Rs. 500/- and this must be paid in the form of DD taken in favor of Register, University of Pune

Entrance Exam pattern :

Entrance exam is Carried out as an Objective Model Test.

There will be a total of 100 Questions

Time Duration of 3 Hours

Questions for the Entrance test will be based on topics studied at the graduation level.
