The Schedule for the Placement Week, 2016 are:

1. NID Main Campus, Ahmedabad - fifth and sixth December, 2016

2. NID PG Campus, Gandhinagar - seventh December, 2016

The placement for National Institute of Design (NID) students for 2015 batch turned out to be a bonanza as the average annual package amount touched Rs 12 lakh. As almost 200 students have been offered placement by around 104 firms, primarily from the IT and design sector, from across the globe. Samsung R&D has so far recruited the highest number, 22 students, while Godrej & Boyce hired around 11 students, said Sujitha Nair, placement officer at NID.

She says around 21 firms queued up to hire students from the premier institute. With this, the total no of firms at the placement camp has hit 104.

However, the yearly package of Rs 72 lakh offered to Lalit Anit Sawle of NID Bangalore remained the highest, Nair said.
