Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination of objective pattern which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a two tier examination (Main & Advanced) regulated by CBSE Board

Number of applicant’s year wise:

2016 1,207,000
2015 1,300,000
2014 1,350,000
2013 1,400,000

Eligibility:

Candidates appearing/passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 with PCM are eligible to apply.
Candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2014 are not eligible to apply.
Number of Subjects in 12th: Aspirants should have minimum five subjects in 12th/qualifying examination.
Number of Attempts: Candidate can attempt JEE Main exam three times only.
Diploma (3 years) holders are also eligible to apply.

Official notification release November, 2016
Application form release first week of December, 2016
Application form correction window one week in the second half of January, 2017
Release of Admit Card first week of March, 2017
JEE Main offline exam (Pen and Paper Based exam) first week of April, 2017
JEE Main online exam (Computer Based exam) second week of April, 2017
Result declaration last week of April, 2017
Counselling schedule first week of July, 2017
