Path to Academics, Community and Employment (P.A.C.E) at National Louis University is a three-year, post-secondary certificate program designed to meet the transitional needs for young adults with multiple intellectual, learning and developmental disabilities.

The P.A.C.E. curriculum has three objectives

Education and professional training necessary to be workforce ready

Development of independent living skills

Development of age-appropriate social skills

P.A.C.E. objectives are achieved through student engagement in four core areas of learning which are:

Functional Academic Courses

Employment Preparation

Independent Living Skills

Socialization and Community Living

P.A.C.E. Tuition 2016-2017

P.A.C.E. Program Costs: Per Academic Year (Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters)

Program fees/tuition: $26,400

Room and board and meals: $14,600

Student Budgets/activity Fees-

Estimated annual amount for spending money, U-Pass and special events $3,200

The deadline for submission of applications is May 1, 2017 for the upcoming year.

Summer Experience Program

P.A.C.E. at NLU is offering a summer experience program for students who are interested in learning about or attending P.A.C.E. at NLU in the future.

Academics
Sampling of P.A.C.E. classes will be taught:
•Goal setting • Computer Tech
•Social Skills • Money Management

Social Development
• Students will sit in on a mock activity planning event
• Students will attend an event in the community

Employment
• Sampling of P.A.C.E. employment opportunities
• Visit to 1-2 internship sites in the Chicago area
• Panel discussion with current P.A.C.E. students centered on their internships

Independent Living Life Skills
• Tour of 1237 West Fullerton and surrounding area
• Demonstration from P.A.C.E.students on how to perform routine life skills
