The UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination is commonly known as UPSC IFS Exam. It is combined competitive exam held all over India by Union Public Service Commission during the month of July/August

Exam Pattern:
IFS Exam consists of two stages:
Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
Indian Forest Service Main Examination (Written and Interview).

UPSC IFS Exam Pattern/Test Pattern

UPSC Indian forest Services Exam having 3 papers.
Descriptive exam:

Exam conducts for 1400 marks
Subject Name Marks
Paper I – General English 300 Marks
Paper II – General Knowledge 300 Marks
Paper III, IV, V & VI – Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below.
Each subject will have two papers. 200 Marks for each paper
Total marks for written examination 1400 Marks

Main Examination: The following papers will be held for the Main IFS Exam.

Paper I -> General English -> 300 marks
Paper II -> General Knowledge -> 300 marks
Paper III, IV, V & VI – Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below.
Each subject will have two papers. -> 200 marks each

Interview for Personality Test: 300 marks
