Default Preparation tips for the exam of India Administrative Service

I want to give the exam of India Administrative Service and for that I want to get the preparation tips for the exam of India Administrative Service so can you provide me that?

As you want to get the preparation tips for the exam of India Administrative Service so here it is for you:

(1)One needs to be well motivated and confident about his/her own abilities

(2)Candidates should regularly follow one national newspaper and magazines to keep them updated of the latest happenings in and around the world.

(3)Candidates should be well aware of the pattern of the UPSC which is a three stage examination and direct their efforts accordingly.

(4)The syllabus should be studied well and one by one the topics should be taken up and should be prepared in great detail.

(5)It is advisable to choose subjects which you are studying or you have already studied.

(6) Also, a good teacher who can guide you well can prove to be a great advantage

(7)It is advisable for the candidates to have discussions with fellow candidates on various topics from the syllabus.

(8)Though you are putting in your 100% you should also learn the technique of Time Management.

(9)The candidates may take coaching classes if necessary

General Mental Ability
 No special preparation is required in this area. But some practice may be done from any exercise books or quantitative aptitude. In fact, an intelligent calculation is the basic requirement for this topic.

 Encyclopaedia of Indian Culture. A good library invariably has more than one encyclopaedia on Indian Art and Culture selected notes may be taken from it.
 Books on culture / cultural topics brought out by Publications Division of Ministry of Information and broadcasting and National Book Trust.

Current Affairs
 At least one major national newspaper – either The Times of India or The Hindu
 Newsweeklies like India Today or/and Outlook
 Current Affairs and News Analysis of BBC.
 Current events – Spectrum
