IIT Bombay is a public engineering and research institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India.

Yes IIT Bombay has successfully developed three kinds of robotic systems One of these is NATARAJ—the six-legged walking robot. Their robotic system has been developed in the Robotics laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Department with funding from the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India.

Apart from serving usual functions, it has been designed to negotiate uneven terrains and perform special tasks in hazardous areas. Another robotic system that is ready for commercialization is the low cost motorized arm developed for amputees .
