Hii sir, I wants to Know the Criteria for Passing and the year back Rule for the B.tech Course of the VTU University ?

Visvesvaraya Technological University is a collegiate public state university in Karnataka State, India. It was established by the Government of Karnataka.

the Passing Criteria and the Year back rule for the B.tech Course of the VTU University is given below



Percentage Criteria for Passing :

For a pass in a subject, a candidate shall secure a minimum of 50% of marks
prescribed for a subject in Progressive marks, 40% in the theory examination, 40%
in viva voce examination and 40% in term work examination.


Rules for the year back

The Candidate shouldn’t had failed in more than 4 Subjects for being eligible to enter next year.
If a Candidate has a subject back from 1st and 2nd Semester he won’t be eligible to enter 5th semester.
If a Candidate has a subject back from 3rd and 4th Semester he won’t be eligible to enter 7th semester.
