Selection Process In JEE Main

I want to do engineering degree and for this I have decided to give the IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) wants exam details. Can you please tell what the Selection Process In JEE Main Exam also provide me important dates related to this exam so that I can apply on time?

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination of objective pattern which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.

Selection process:

Only those students are allowed to appear for JEE Advanced exams, those who have given their board exam for the first time and those who have appeared for JEE Mains online or offline exam.

There are two basic conditions, out of which students need to fulfill at least one of them to be allowed to write JEE Advanced exam.

You either should score 75% in their board exams. (For general category it is 75% aggregate and for OBC/ SC / ST class, the score is 70%.

Or students need to secure a place in the list of top 20 percentile of each category list in their Board exams.

first week of December, 2016

one week in the second half of January, 2017

Release of Admit Card
first week of March, 2017

JEE Main offline exam (Pen and Paper Based exam)
first week of April, 2017

JEE Main online exam (Computer Based exam)
second week of April, 2017

Result declaration
last week of April, 2017
