Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. ONGC is the country’s premier E&P company received “Excellent” Rating for Compliance of Guidelines on Corporate Governance, issued by Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) for Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).

ONGC has secured 100% Score in this regard and is the only Maharatna to achieve this feat.

ONGC have two subsidiaries viz. ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL)

ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL)

ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) is the international arm of ONGC.

It was rechristened on 15 June 1989. ONGC holds 100% stake in ONGC Videsh Limited.

It currently has 14 projects across 16 countries.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL)

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), is an oil refinery at Mangalore

It is a subsidiary of ONGC, established in 1988.

The refinery is located at Katipalla, north from centre of Mangalore city.

The refinery was established after displacing five villages of Bala, Kalavar, Kuthetoor, Katipalla, and Adyapadi.
