Texas State University–San Marcos formally known as Texas State University or Texas State is a state university located in San Marcos, Texas, United States. It was established in 1899 as the Southwest Texas State Normal School.

Texas State University offers courses through ten academic colleges, including:
• College of Applied Arts
• McCoy College of Business Administration
• College of Education
• Honors College
• College of Fine Arts and Communication

McCoy College of Business Administration:
McCoy College offers the bachelor of business administration degree at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level the College offers the master of business administration master of accountancy, and Master of Science in accounting and information technology degrees. All McCoy College degree programs are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

In MBA program there are five options:
• General MBA (42-hour program)
• MBA with an emphasis in Engineering and Technology (45-hour program)
• MBA with an emphasis in Health Administration (45-hour program)
• MBA with an emphasis in International Business (45-hour program)
• MBA with an emphasis in Human Resource Management (45-hour program)
Application Process: There is a two step process for applying for admission to any of our graduate programs. The first step is to complete the requirements of the Texas State University Graduate College. These requirements include:
• An online graduate application and associated fee
• All Official transcripts from all colleges and universities that you have attended
• Your official Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) scores
• A current, detailed resume describing work experience, extracurricular and community activities, honors and achievements.
• Two letters of recommendation from persons best able to assess your ability to succeed in graduate school.
